Getting Started

So you decided to join Valiant? What's next?

For New Players

Here's what to do.

1. Visit your local Valiant LARP chapter. They'll help you with your next steps.
2. Complete a waiver and turn it into the Game Master.
3. Learn the rules in the Valiant LARP Codex.
4. Create a character. Decide on a background, character class, and name.
5. Begin practicing with your local chapter.

That's all you need to get started. You don't need garb at first, and your local chapter should be able to loan a weapon and shield.

Eventually, you will want your own gear.

1. Get garb - you need a costume appropriate to your character
2. Get weapons - you need your own weapons. 
3. Get armor (optional) - you may also want to get armor or safety equipment.

But the most important step of all - HAVE FUN!
